dictionary is a living document and will be continuously updated
through out the life cycle of this dataset.
The attached documents provide provide hospital and trauma centers
with a detailed list of data elements that must be submitted by each
Virginia hospital that provides emergency services. The detailed lists
also contain the fields/values that are collected with each element.

TOPIC: Reporting EMS Times & Field Vitals Signs
EXPLANATION: Clarify which EMS response dates/times should be reported
and where to obtain field vital signs
Trauma centers are required to report EMS response dates/times when a
trauma patient arrives at their hospital by EMS. These dates and times
include when the EMS unit was dispatched, arrived on scene or at the
referring hospital, and when the EMS unit departed the scene or
referring hospital.
